At the end of the fellowship, you keep operating the game you started. You fully own the game, the IP, and all the revenue it generates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who qualifies for the fellowship?
The fellowship is open to indie developers and small teams anywhere in the world who want to build a real game. Existing studios that have already raised significant funding are not eligible. The Orio team has full discretion over who is admitted.
What qualities do you look for?
We look for motivated creators with a genuine desire to build and the technical/creative ability to execute. A history of shipping games, launching products, or participating in game jams is a strong positive.
Do you take any equity or IP rights?
No. We do not take equity, and we do not claim any ownership over the Intellectual Property you create during the fellowship.
What is the catch?
This fellowship is a research initiative from Orio to test our new AI world-generation features in real game-building environments. By participating, you agree to let us use operational/performance data to improve the platform, and to participate in a case study upon completion.
Is the fellowship in-person or digital?
The fellowship is fully remote and communication will take place on our dedicated Discord channels.
